Firestone 805 and The Big Velvet

Our latest film at Firestone Walker is part of a collaboration and campaign with country wild man Paul Cauthen.

I first learned of Paul thru his then long time manager Shane Trulin, who I had collaborated with on several Mike Ness and Social Distortion films. After dinner at The Range in Santa Margarita, Shane played me a new track “Cocaine Country Dancing” off Paul’s upcoming album. The interest was instant. At the time I was heading up marketing for Ernie Ball, so we moved to sign him.

More than a year later when I joined Firestone Walker and we were looking for an artist for a project in Texas, Paul’s name shot to the top of the list. He’s an anti-hero. Just like 805 beer.

Enjoy the film. For more on Paul and 805 go HERE.
