Summer TV campaign for 805 Beer featuring pro surfers Lakey Peterson and Nate Tyler, Pro Skater Greyson Fletcher, and Cumba rock band Tropa Magica.
Out of Bounds
One person’s day in powder paradise is just another day on the job for 805 Authentico Gabe Taylor. The agenda is simple: find that place on the mountains where there’s no one else around you, put board to the cold stuff, and go big. Most stylish doesn’t win anything, but it’ll certainly make the cooler full of cold ones waiting at the bottom taste that much better. Gabe is a professional snowboarder, marketer, dad and lover of the mountains.
He grew up surfing sunny beaches but found his true calling in the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Mammoth, California. He has positioned his passion for snowboarding to blend perfectly with his career at Mammoth Mountain Resort. In this new short film we follow him deep into the Sierra Nevada mountain range for a day of fun in the backcountry.
You can catch our full film, “Out Of Bounds,” starring professional snowboarder Gabe Taylor now. Set a snow alert up, toss on some goggles, and surround yourself with cold ones before hitting play for the full experience.
805 Beer - The Fighter Inside All of Us
Short film for 805 beer and jiu-jitsu world champion Tabatha Ricci. Born in Brazil. Now hailing from the 805 by way of Ventura, California. Tabitha exemplifies the unbridled passion and DIY ethos that our brand proudly stands for. A big heart. Unmatched work-ethic and drive to be the best. Big move getting 805 into the MMA space and incredible work by our team.
NEW FILM: MIND SURFING
New film drop featuring world-championship surfer Conner Coffin and his origin story of growing up on the central coast. Directed by legendary surfer and filmmaker Keith Malloy. This is Mind Surfing.
The Story Of An X-Games Champion
Honored to release 805 Beer’s latest project “The House That Built Me”, the official documentary from X-Games champion and motocross icon Tyler Bereman, and the incredible story of how three generations of racing fostered by his grandpa “Captain Ron” shaped the path of one of MX’s most exciting talents.
We began working on this film over two years ago. Tyler, as one of our 805 Beer athletes has a deep-rooted history with Firestone Walker. Growing up in Atascadero, a few minutes from our Paso Robles brewery, Tyler spent his youth riding dirtbikes with his dad and grandpa in the riverbed behind the brewhouse. So, it’s serendipitous that nearly 15 years later, and 11 X-Games medals later, we’re able to produce and share the emotional and inspiring journey of our hometown hero.
805 BEER x CONNER COFFIN
805 Beer campaign for Firestone with California native Conner Coffin.
ORDER OF THE HOP IPA
New from our incubator brewhouse in Venice, CA is “Order of the Hop”. The latest IPA innovation from the Firestone Walker brew team that taps into the emerging Cryo-Hops trend from Yakima Valley, WA.
What I love about the beer industry is the rapid innovation and the freedom that our Venice brewery “The Propagator” affords the team. It’s also an incredible channel for our design team to try wild new ideas and collaborate with phenomenal artists to bring the brew science and art world together.
Get it before it’s gone. More HERE.
Firestone Films: The Thru Rider
When I first heard of Gillian Larson I knew it was a story we had to tell as part of our new adventure series for Firestone Walker that we crafted to share the incredible stories of individuals whose unparalleled passion for life echoed our purpose as a brewery.
Traversing thousands of miles across North American on her horse, Gillian is a rare breed committed to exploring the depths that life has to offer, and the bond with her loyal horses who have helped her experience some of the great views America has to offer.
Directed by Dylan Gordon.
Enjoy.

Firestone Walker X Dylan Efron - Flow State
When I first met Dylan Efron last year, I realized we had a shared passion for telling stories of adventure. Fast forward to our first series together - Flow State. A partnership between Firestone Walker and Dylan Efron features celebrities and athletes who are pushed outside their comfort zones during wild pursuits and conversations over cold Firestone beer.
Episode 01 features Dylan, pro-skateboarder Leticia Bufoni, and some rock climbing outside of Los Angeles.
5-episodes in all, the series releases new episodes each month.
"A Young Man's Road" - A Firestone Walker Film
When I first joined Firestone Walker, one of my first calls was to photographer and filmmaker Dylan Gordon. An old name that had been rattling around my world and California coast for the last several years and one of the names behind a favorite local brand. Over the course of the last year, Dylan has been instrumental in helping me, and the Firestone team shape the brand's visual identity and breathe stories of adventure into one of the most stories beer brands in the world.
Our latest film features photographer, climber, and Firestone brand ambassador Drew Smith. Drew has spent his life climbing the world's most precarious mountains and shooting photos for companies, including Patagonia and North Face. A true adventurer who is committed to living life to the fullest.
"Let Your Mind Wander" Firestone Walker Mind Haze Campaign - Fall 2020
Mind Haze is one of Firestone Walker’s most sought after IPAs in the country. When it came time to develop a new campaign for fall 2020 and early 2021, I reached out to the wildly creative Mark and Gina at Hey Beautiful Jerk to help us bring our mind altering concept to life. In the first of many, this is “Let Your Mind Wander”.
A Firestone Walker & Meta Film by Sebastien Zanella
“Let Your Mind Wander” is a collaboration film between Firestone Walker and Meta. I first met Ben, one of the founders of Meta, a few years back while I was at Ernie Ball. He had seen my film with Tom Delonge and a mutual friend, Mark at BMW, connected us. Ben was interested in working with Tom, I connected them for a killer film and print feature on Tom, his music, and his passion for motorcycles.
When I landed at Firestone, we had been working with Meta on the 805 beer front for a minute, so when I called him to let him know I joined the beer business, we got up and running pretty quickly to help tell the story of Firestone Walker thru several collaborations, including this film with an incredible french film maker named Sebastien Zanella.
I had this concept of a trippy film thru the fog of Big Sur, Ca for one of our new Hazy IPA’s - Mind Haze. Ben picked up on the concept, he pulled in Sebastien and the rest is history. The boys spent the night at my place in Paso, we brainstormed a bit and they delivered an incredible little film titled “Let Your Mind Wander”.
Don't Worry. Be Hoppy.
When things are weird, sometimes you just need a cold beer. “Don’t Worry. Be Hoppy” is the first of a new campaign created for Firestone Walker with my long time creative partner Lee Diskin.
Firestone Walker 805 "Keep It Local" Spot
When David Walker asked me to develop a commercial that highlighted our need to support the millions of bar and restaurant staff out of work across the country, I pulled small group of creatives together to write, produce and deliver a spot in 5 days titled “Keep It Local.”
The spot honors the frontline people who are working hard to keep their neighborhoods well fed and speaks to our collective need to support our friends, neighbors and communities who are working hard on the front lines to keep our bellies full.
Thanks to Haven Lamoureux for co-writing this with me, as well as directing and editing. And Brendan Luets for being behind the lens.
Firestone 805 and The Big Velvet
Our latest film at Firestone Walker is part of a collaboration and campaign with country wild man Paul Cauthen.
I first learned of Paul thru his then long time manager Shane Trulin, who I had collaborated with on several Mike Ness and Social Distortion films. After dinner at The Range in Santa Margarita, Shane played me a new track “Cocaine Country Dancing” off Paul’s upcoming album. The interest was instant. At the time I was heading up marketing for Ernie Ball, so we moved to sign him.
More than a year later when I joined Firestone Walker and we were looking for an artist for a project in Texas, Paul’s name shot to the top of the list. He’s an anti-hero. Just like 805 beer.
Enjoy the film. For more on Paul and 805 go HERE.
CRAFTED FOR ADVENTURE WITH FIRESTONE WALKER
Excited for the launch of new film series for Firestone Walker titled “Crafted for Adventure,” a collaboration we developed with acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Dylan Gordon. The films document lifestyles of outdoor adventure seekers, and takes viewers into the wild--from the beaches and mountains of California to the Utah backcountry and beyond. The series supports our latest beer release, Flyjack.
The first episode features Dylan Gordon and celebrates the pursuit of living an adventure-filled life Dylan captures with his camera the things he loves most: surfing, horseback riding, and motorcycling. Throughout his career, Dylan has shot with top athletes and brands, including Roark, Yeti and North Face and his work with Firestone Walker continues his tradition of bringing his unique experiences and perspective to viewers.
I met Dylan a few years back through mutual friends and have been looking for the right opportunity to collaborate. More rewarding was the chance to work with Ben at META magazine on the first episode of the series. Ben and the team helped bring the vision to life and set us up for a long series of great film work that will support our work to further cement Firestone Walker as one of the most premier beer brands in the world.

Firestone Walker + Topa Topa - A California Beer Collaboration
Brewers are a tight knight group of curious tinkers who share a passion for the art of beer making. You’ll often find them sharing ideas on their path to craft the perfect beer. So, when the brew team at Firestone Walker decided to create a beer with the crew at Topa Topa, we wanted to share the story with fans of both brands. Short and simple, but it highlights what Firestone Walker means to Topa Topa, and the commitment to exploration by our brew team, lead by Dustin Kral and Matt Brynildson.
Firestone Walker 805 Presents Road Noise with Nikki Lane
Very proud of the latest film from the 805 brand team featuring singer-songwriter and 805 Authentico, Nikki Lane. “Road Noise” is a new series of films from Firestone Walker that features musicians and their journies to share their music with the word. Teaming the 805 team with one of my longstanding filmmaking partners, the first episode follows Nikki as she traverses the Pacific Northwest on tour opening for Government Mule, her independent approach to making music, 3 great performances, including a solo acoustic song she wrote on an impromptu fishing trip in Oregon.
UNEARTHED: TAYLOR GOLDSMITH OF DAWES
One of the favorite films I was able to create in last few years is Taylor Goldsmith live from Sound City. The studio is what legends are made of, with some of the greatest albums in the world being record within its walls, from Tom Petty to Nirvana. Now under the stewardship of Blake Mills, a childhood friend of Taylors and former bandmate, the world’s aligned to make this film happen. In the piece, we feature Taylor’s incredible songwriting and voice, as well as the influences that make Dawes the band they are today.
This is the second time I was able to work with Taylor, the first being an episode of Guitar Center Sessions on Directv. Really love how this came out. The warm walls of the studio, to the stark look of the lounge. A great piece with a great musician.
